Community Outreach Support Representative

Helping Our People Excel Community Development Corp (HOPE CDC) is hiring a Community Outreach Support Representative for engaging with community members to promote awareness, education, and resources aimed at preventing violence. This role involves building relationships with at-risk individuals, families, community groups, and organizations, as well as facilitating workshops and programs that address the root causes of violence. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating safer communities, is culturally sensitive, and possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as liaison between the Violence & Prevention Program and the community
  • Conduct educational workshops and presentations on violence prevention topics
  • Provide referrals to counseling, mental health services, legal aid, and other relevant resources
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, contacts, interventions, and outcomes
  • Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and community needs

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, or related field; minimum 2 years workforce development experience; strong group facilitation skills; valid driver’s license
